1a. Log in to your seller account on the BNG Marketplace.
1b. If you are not yet signed up, make sure you sign up with I want to sell biodiversity units.
2. Click your initials in the top right.
3. Click Switch to Listing Manager.
4. Click New BNG Listing.
5. Click BNG.
6. Add your specific habitats. Add multiple if you need to - such as a mixture of Area and Hedgerow habitats.
7. Click on a habitat type to add a habitat to your listing.
8. Enter the habitat information. The fields are pulled directly from the Statutory Metric, so are straightforward to fill in once you have a completed HMMP.
9. If you have more habitats, add them in until complete.
10. Click Next when completed.
11. Add the LPA (Local Planning Authority) and NCA (National Character Area) and press Next.
12. Fill in your Title and Description depending on how you want your listing to appear.
13. Add images. Add the Biodiversity Gain Sites Register number if you have reached this stage and click Submit as draft.
14. You now have a listing in draft stage. Please first click Actions.
15. Now click Change status.
16a. If you have not yet secured your legal agreements such as S106s or approval from the necessary Local Planning Authority, please select Pending Legal.
16b. If you have secured your legal agreements and approval from the necessary Local Planning Authority, please select Available.
17. Choose the image you want to be displayed when your listing comes up in search results and click the Star icon.
18. Review all your information and finally Submit for Approval so the Gaia Team can review your listing then get it published. You will get an email confirming when it has been approved (usually within an hour).
